Crazy in Kansas............

Our boys flew like the wind last night.  We were supposed to get a 6 hour sleep cycle, but our boys who were riding showed up 1 hour early!!!!  They said they had a tail wind and were able to keep a 25-27 mph average.

We were all woken up at the last minute, completely unprepared to take our next shift.  We scurried around the motorhomes with our heads cut off...........hmmmmm reminded me a lot of a scene from I Love Lucy.  After a little chaos.......ok a lot of chaos.  We put some riders back on the road.  The biggest problem was that sleep deprivation = bad communication.  :-) We all still love each other, though!  This is when the test comes...........will our flesh take over or are we going to lean on the power of the Holy Spirit to help us during the trials.

Craig had the first flat of the trip.  Luckily they have stocked the follow vehicle with a couple sets of wheels, so the change was quick.  His big brother, Robby sacrificially got his hands all greasy for our awesome cyclists!

I have never been to Kansas before today.........it is GORGEOUS here.  So green and lush.  I never would of imagined this.  Tony didn't appreciate the tick that hopped on for a free ride though!  We couldn't resist and had to play them Brad Paisley's song "Ticks."  :-)

Stay strong, everyone. This is when I remember calling my sister back home and crying like a baby on the phone. I had no idea where I was and I was exhausted!!!! I truly wondered why I was doing this ridiculous trip.
This is the time to pray that God bonds you together, ESPECIALLY in the rough patches and sleep depravation.

Remember WHY you are doing this. For kids who have not got a voice. For "the least of these." For parents to be able to put there kids in an educational environment where they can feel like they are part of a family.

You are doing a good work, and the enemy HATES it.
But our God is stronger and has a greater plan. Follow it as you ride...and don't forget to see the gift.

much love and prayers from back home.

May the Lord continue to give you
the strength & guidance you need to get to the finish line. Savannah misses school already and can't wait to see her friends and teachers. What you all are doing gives Savannah & other kids so much. They are surrounded by loving & caring friends & teachers. Our children are accepted and embraced for who they are. We can't imagine Savannah being anywhere else. We thank you whole heartedly! May God continue to bless you all.

Lots of love & prayers,

John & Yvonne Cesario
